An Art Series novel

Brian Watson knows close friends Gerald Young and Dieter Krumpf have an ulterior motive when they invite him to their Christmas party. Brian has taken over the case to secure the return of the famous painting called The Woman in Blue to Dieter, but they don’t want Brian to be all work and no play. They intend to set him up with a friend, but he’s not who catches Brian’s eye. Instead, it’s Nicolai, the deaf art restorer caring for the works already returned to Dieter.

But pursuing Nicolai won’t be easy. A year ago Nicolai had to fight to regain his independence after a bad break-up, and he’s reluctant to give up his freedom a second time. Plus, Brian has competition in Justin, Nicolai’s ex, who wants him back badly.

Nicolai’s reluctance isn’t the only roadblock. Brian was married to a woman for almost ten years. Now he has to confess to his mother, his ex-wife, and his young daughter that he loves a man—all while conducting a potentially groundbreaking court case and trying to convince Nicolai that love isn’t about co-dependence, it’s about support.

Artistic Appeal (Art Stories Book 2) - edition by Andrew Grey. Literature & Fiction eBooks @ . Reviews

Oh this was a wonderful story of love and magic and the gift of friendship and family. It makes me smile cry and feel good so I would recommend you give this book a go. Joe
Artistic Appeal picks up where Legal Artistry left off with Dieter going thru the court process of getting his painting of The Woman In Blue back in his family where it belongs. Brian is Dieter's attorney and friend who is working on the case but the main theme of the story is Brian meeting Nicolai, a deaf man who is an art restorer who Brian finds himself falling in love with. Brian also has to come out to his family and deal with his X wife who isn't the nicest person in the story. As Brian and Nicolai fall in love they have to also deal with Nicolai's X boyfriend who seems to be willing to stop at nothing to get him back. Another great story by Andrew Grey that shouldn't be missed.
felt for the guys as they got things sorted
I have loved all of the Bottled/Art Series and this one by far is my favorite and it is because of one character-Nicolai. Andrew has created such a special guy with Nicolai. I loved Brian and Nicolai's romance and then with Zoe-well it was just really good. I loved all the locations-Vienna, Washington DC-I felt like I was riding the Prater with them.
Thanks again Andrew for another great book!
As usual, Andrew has delivered another 5 star story. I loved Artistic Appeal, as I have all of his books, but this one has a little extra in it. Because Nicolai is deaf, Brian and his daughter, who both love Nicolai, learn American Sign Language, which is the most beautiful part of the book, they learn it because of love, not because they have to. I really can't say anything else because if I do, I will want to tell all and I don't want to do that to other readers.
Andrew, all of your books provide inspiration for me. Each and everyone are special in their own way. Do not ever change your style, it is perfect the way it is.
Wow! What a great read, not perfect, but still I loved it a lot. Why didn't it get a perfect rating, well 1, it's not perfect, I felt it had a couple of holes. Firstly with Justin, it started out as if that part of the storyline was going to be a little angsty, and then one night he just went away, it felt slightly unfinished to me. I liked the art storyline, I loved Nikolai, and Brian is the perfect partner. 2nd, I would of liked an epilogue, something slightly further down the track, maybe a marriage or 2, and did Barbara ever go away? Overall I still loved the book.
Artistic Appeal Bottled Up bk 7 by Andrew Grey

This follow up book to Legal Artistry is a winner. It is the best of this series yet, Mr. Grey has created characters that you truly fall for in every way.

Brian Watson has come out to his close friends Gerald Young and Dieter Krumpt, he is working on the appeals trails for their case to get Dieter's great-grandmother's art collection back. In the mean time they have been trying to set him up. He goes to their Christmas party with his nine year old daughter, Zoe, and meets a man that steals his heart and he has to come up with a case brief to win this trial because Nicolai is very shy and weary of getting involved again.

Nicolai is deaf, he restores art for a living and loves his job very much. His boyfriend that walked out when work was scarce now wants back into his life. Nicolai wants Brian and keeps telling him no.

The magic in this book is that Mr. Grey has managed to create a world for Nicolai that has no sound. When you are in his point of view, you are in his world and there is no sound running around the page. You see lips move, see gestures and signs; no sound makes it on the page. This is very hard to do, as a writer writes with all his senses, but Mr. Grey has managed to this very well for this character.

This ability totally kept this read enthralled with this story and there was nothing to throw me out of the characters point of view, and if a sound did intrude from life around me, it really made me look around to see where I was. Mr. Grey you have a true winner, a true pure love story in Artistic Appeal and you have managed to top all your other stories in this series. Thank you so much for taking the time with book to give a look into Nicolai's life.
This story continues Dieter and Gerald's quest to get their family art returned from the Nazi theft. Brian, their friend and lawyer, in his 30s, is handling the appeal, that includes a trip to Vienna, many meetings, and also a Supreme Court hearing about the legality of the return to an American citizen. Brian is divorced and has custody of charming Zoe, 9. Her Mom, Barbara had cheated on Brian, and now harasses him for more alimony. Nicolai, also in his 30s, is an art restorer and is deaf. Nicolai and Brian meet and become fast friends. Brian has never acted on his M/M desires until Nicolai. As Nicolai become closer, Brian and Zoe go to classes at the Deaf Institute to learn sign language. Their romance is subtle, sexy and lovely. Brian is not afraid of his first times, because he's happy and open to this new set of emotions. These men are a terrific couple.
The story is fascinating and different. There is a stalking ex of Nicolai's, the irritation of Barbara, plus the artwork lawsuit all in progress.
This is calm, sweet, loving and full of great friends who help each other. It's a marvelous tale of love. Here we have gentlemen who are strong, solid and successful. Sweet Nicolai captures our hearts as he manages his daily life as a deaf man. We see the challenges and how they are overcome. We also get the beauty in the love and melding of a special family.
I give this true romance a high recommendation ! ENJOY !
